Ag. Society Agricultural Fair

Discover Minnedosa

Sat & Sun. July 20 & 21, 2019. Located at Minnedosa Agricultural Fairgrounds, events include draft & heavy horseshow, Western light horseshow, and a Miniature horseshow. The display building will have baking, sewing, art & handicrafts, and there will be concessions on site.

Minnedosa & District Farmers’ Market

Established in 1988, our market is one of the oldest Farmers’ Markets in Manitoba.  Over the years it has become a community staple and a much anticipated sign of summer.

We provide a variety of products including fresh produce & herbs, prairie fruits, homemade baked goods & preserves, plants, flowers & locally made crafts.

You never know what you might find at the market so please come and check it out.

Location: Covenant Church Parking Lot (1st Street SW & 4th Avenue SW)

Starting in 2018, the Minnedosa Farmer’s Market will be adding a second market! Not only will you be able to find us Friday’s in our normal spot from 5:00-7:00pm, you will also be able to shop Sunday’s from 11:00am-2:00pm at the beach on the basketball courts! Minnedosa’s Annual Funfest will be held July 5-7, 2019 in and around downtown Minnedosa.

Minnedosa Heritage Day

A day to celebrate our local history is held annually at the Minnedosa Museum and Heritage Village.

2019 Heritage Day will be Saturday, August 17th with live music, food, family games and demonstrations. The museum buildings will be open to tour and the day will conclude with an outdoor movie, “A Dog’s Purpose” in conjunction with Minnedosa Tourism. Admission is by donation.

Rolling River Festival of the Arts

Skate the Lake/Rock the Lake

February 16 & 17, 2019

Skate the Lake is a volunteer run, non-profit pond hockey tournament. The tournament takes place on Lake Minnedosa which the Town of Minnedosa prepares with several rinks to allow for multiple games to be played at once. The non-contact, 4-on-4 format features customized nets instead of goalies and special rules to ensure safety and fair play. Lake Minnedosa provides the natural setting needed to hold a successful event. There is no question that our Lake exceeds any other venue out there for an event of this nature. New in 2018, the 1st annual Rock the Lake, a Pondspiel was held on Minnedosa Lake, along with Skate the Lake. This is a fun curling event featuring 2 person teams, stick curling, no sweeping, 6 ends. Prizes for the top 3 teams, $75 per team. Registration deadline is February 8, 2019 – Go to www.skatethelake.ca or call 204-867-1942.

Once again there will be a Chili Cook-Off on Saturday. Register at the Rec Office minrec@mts.net 204-867-2250 by February 12, 2019.

Saturday night, the Minnedosa Beach Enhancement Committee is holding a Skate the Lake Social at the Minnedosa Community Conference Centre 9:00pm – 1:00am. Late lunch will be served. 18+ only (ID required) $10 tickets. Contact Kayla at 204-868-5242 for more info.
