Town of Minnedosa Board of Revision Notice


Notice is hereby Given that the 2020 Assessment Roll for The Town of Minnedosa has been delivered to the Municipal Office at Minnedosa, Manitoba, 103 Main Street South in the Town of Minnedosa and is open for inspection during regular business hours.  Applications for revision may be made in accordance with Sections 42 & 43 of the Municipal Assessment Act.


42(1) A person in whose name property has been assessed, mortgagee in possession of property under section 114(1) of The Real Property Act, an occupier of premises who is under the terms of a lease to pay the taxes on the property, or the Assessor, may make application for the revision of an assessment roll with respect to:

  1. Liability to taxation
  2. Amount of an assessed value
  3. Classification of property; or
  4. A refusal by an Assessor to amend the Assessment Roll under Subsection 13(2).


43(1)  An application for revision must

  1. Be in writing;
  2. Set out the roll number and legal description of the assessable property for which a revision is sought;
  3. Set out which of the matters referred to in subsection 42(1) are at issue, and the grounds for each of those matters; and
  4. Be filed by
    i) Delivering it or causing it to be delivered to the office indicated in the Public Notice given under Subsection 41(2), or
    ii) Serving it upon the secretary at least 15 days before the scheduled sitting of the Board as indicated in the Public Notice

The Board of Revision will sit on December 3, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of The Town of Minnedosa to hear applications.

Application for revision or complaints must be received by 4:30 p.m., Monday, November 18, 2019, emailed to, delivered or mailed to:  The Town of Minnedosa, 103 Main Street S, Box 426, Minnedosa, Manitoba, R0J 1E0

Late Applications will not be accepted.
