Garbage & Recycling

The Town of Minnedosa provides curbside collection of garbage and recycling weekly for residential areas. Recycling and Garbage is to be placed at the curb by 8:00 a.m. on the day of pick up.

Acccepted Recycling - Please use “Blue Bags”

Cardboard - no pizza boxes, food or oil contaminated.
Tetra Pak - waxed covered containers.
Box Board - paper egg cartons, paper bags, cereal boxes, etc.
Paper - white office paper – loose or shredded, newsprint, magazines, catalogues, telephone directories. No Christmas wrap.
Tin Cans - rinsed - labels don’t need to be removed.
Plastic - plastic bottles & containers - rinse, flatten, remove tops. Plastic must have triangle symbol & number to be recycled. No engine oil containers & pesticide containers.
Glass - bottles and jars only (package separately). No window glass, dishes, or plate glass.
Styrofoam - is not recycled.

Accepted at Regional Landfill

Tires, Used Oil Containers, Pesticide Containers, Metal (Freon containing appliances to have Freon properly removed before drop off or be subject to a removal fee), Household, Hazardous Waste (paint, cleaning supplies, etc.)

Accepted at Compost Sites

Grass, Leaves, Garden Waste, Branches - Please remove bags & reuse where possible. To help stop the spread of Dutch Elm Disease, take all elm trimmings to compost area and place on a separate elm pile.
