Economic Profile Report

https://www.gov.mb.ca/jec/ecprofiles/pdfs/southwest/minnedosa_sla.pdf

Stakeholders can use this economic profile report as a tool for economic growth that will inform strategic decisions. The reports contain the most recent data available when they were compiled. Economic regions were determined cooperatively between Statistics Canada and the Province of Manitoba. Many of the economic regions represent self-contained labour areas.  A Tool for Economic Growth The economic profile reports provide information about investing and doing business in Manitoba; they do not advocate for one course of action over another. Regional leaders are encouraged to survey and/or consult with key businesses, institutions (e.g. health and education) and community organizations to identify and agree on economic targets for the region and to collaborate to achieve economic growth and diversity. More information and other reports can be found here: https://www.gov.mb.ca/jec/ecprofiles/index.html

Tourism Economic Impact Data

Travel Manitoba recently released an economic impact study for the tourism regions in Manitoba. Minnedosa is a proud member of Tourism Westman and you can download (pdf) the report for our Westman region here. It is evident that tourism is an economic driver for our region and that there is an opportunity to grow the industry and attract more visitors.
